DES features expertise in information technology and print support, contract management, human resources and employee training, statewide financial systems, public works project management, and the care and stewardship of the state capitol grounds and buildings. DES has also made a long-term commitment to building a Lean culture of increased efficiency and effectiveness. DES is now beginning to develop and offer Lean Services to support other agencies on their Lean journey.

Contracting & Purchasing

Enterprise Services oversees more than 1,500 vendors supplying goods and services through master contracts. These contracts are available to state, local, and tribal governments.

We offer contractors and vendors access to open, competitive business opportunities for goods, services and construction projects.

Facilities & Leasing

Enterprise Services manages the historic 486-acre Capitol Campus in Olympia, which includes four parks and Capitol Lake. In addition, Enterprise Services also provides tenant services for many state-owned facilities and negotiates leases on behalf of state government.

We also oversee more than 800 public works projects throughout Washington worth $580 million.

HR & Finance

Enterprise Services provides payroll, financial and human resource and Lean consulting services to state agencies. Additionally, Enterprise Services provides online and classroom training, supports recruitment and talent pipeline efforts.

Training and Development

Enterprise Services offers a variety of instructor-led courses at 1500 Jefferson in Olympia, the South Puget Sound Community College in Lacey, and other sites. Many courses can be customized to meet your agency's needs. We also offer an extensive selection of online course on a wide variety of subjects.

Printing & Mail

Enterprise Services provides a broad range of print and mail services to state, local and tribal governments and qualified non-profit organizations.

Risk Management

Enterprise Services provides risk management for our customers, including self-insurance, claims handling and loss prevention training and analysis.

Surplus

Enterprise Services provides a surplus operation that recycles, re-uses or sells materials on behalf of government. Each year, this program keeps over 600,000 pounds of materials out of landfills.

Travel, Cars & Parking

Enterprise Services manages a statewide vehicle fleet operation to provide efficient and environmentally friendly transportation options for state agencies. We also manage parking services on the Capitol Campus and provide contracted services for state employee business travel.
