I retired from the Army December 2016 and enrolled at the University of Houston-Downtown January 2017. I knew exactly the major I wanted to focus on. I chose UHD because of its focus on Supply Chain. A common question I get asked is, “What is Supply Chain Management?” Supply Chain is a sequence of organizations - their facilities, functions, and activities - that are involved in producing and delivering a product or service. The supply chain begins with basic suppliers and extends all the way to the final customer. I’ve always wondered how products get from manufacturing to the consumer’s pantry. Studying supply chain completes the puzzle. It’s a fascinating process.
